Jaké jsou vyhlídky svobody v současném turbulentním světě geopolitických změn? Jak posílit společnou západní reakci na autoritářské režimy? Přijďte diskutovat s členy vedení organizace Freedom House, jedné z nejvýznamnějších světových institucí podporujících svobodu a lidská práva. Debaty se zúčastní čestná Jane Harman, členka správní rady Freedom House, bývalá devítinásobná kongresmanka z Kalifornie a bývalá členka výboru pro zpravodajské služby Sněmovny reprezentantů. Dále se představí čestný Jamie Fly, od února 2026 výkonný ředitel Freedom House, který má rozsáhlé zkušenosti z vládních struktur, včetně práce na ministerstvu obrany a v Národní bezpečnostní radě. Moderování se ujmou Kateřina Weissová a Michael Žantovský.

Join us for a discussion with members of the leadership of Freedom House - one of the world’s most prominent organizations promoting liberty.

The Honorable Jane Harman is a member of Board of Freedom House. She is a former nine-term congresswoman from California and former ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee (2002 – 2006) and the chair of the Homeland Security Committee’s Intelligence Subcommittee (2007–2011). Between 2011 and 2021 she was the CEO of Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars.

The Honorable Jamie Fly is a CEO of Freedom House since February 2026. He has a wide experience from the government, where he served at the Secretary of Defense Office and the National Security Council and as a counselor for foreign and national security affairs to Senator Marco Rubio. He was also a CEO of Radio Free Europe, worked at the German Marshall Fund and The Foreign Policy Initative. From 2023 to 2025 he worked with Palantir Technologies, where he supported efforts to defend Ukraine from Moscow’s military invasion.
